You are cordially invited to the AGM of Tanzania Development Trust and Britain Tanzania Society on Saturday 14 Oct 2023 15:00 – 16:30 BST which will be held by Zoom.
This is a chance to find out more about our work, meet the post holders and others and ask questions. You will also hear from many of our local reps discussing their work in Tanzania.
Paul Harrison, BTS Chair, will talk about the Britain Tanzania Society. Our esteemed speakers are expected to be the incoming Tanzanian High Commissioner (to be confirmed), John Woodcock, the Lord Walney – the UK trade envoy to Tanzania – and Kemi Williams, the Development Director at the UK High Commission to Tanzania, Dar es Salaam, representing the UK High Commission.
Janet Chapman will present TDT’s Annual Report and also talk briefly about their mapping project Crowd2Map and how you can get involved.
Our local rep for Mara, Rhobi Samwelly, will talk about her NGO fighting FGM, Hope for Girls and Women Tanzania, LR for Kigoma, Benedicto Hosea will talk about our water project and LR for Tabora Ezekiel Kassanga about his open school for girls excluded by pregnancy, Tumaini Open School.
The presentation section will be recorded. There will be a chance to ask questions via the chat.
The link to the zoom meeting will be sent out the day before and 2 hours before the meeting to all who register.
